## Where should I live if I’m stationed at Hurlburt?

If the shortest drive matters most, start with **Mary Esther** — about 6 minutes to the main gate. **Fort Walton Beach** and **Wright** are about 13 minutes. **Navarre** is about 24, and **Crestview** about 43 (Google Maps, checked October 12, 2026).

Prices vary by town. Recent median sales ran about $340K in Mary Esther, $330K in Fort Walton Beach and $423K in Navarre, per Redfin ([Mary Esther](https://www.redfin.com/city/11047/FL/Mary-Esther/housing-market), [Fort Walton Beach](https://www.redfin.com/city/6298/FL/Fort-Walton-Beach/housing-market), [Navarre](https://www.redfin.com/city/33787/FL/Navarre/housing-market)). ## About Hurlburt Field

Hurlburt Field is home to Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and the 1st Special Operations Wing.
